JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview Responsibilities:

'Individuals in this role work with Insurance Payers to research and resolve accounts on behalf of our first-class patients. While research and resolution is often conducted by phone, resolution is also achieved through email and insurance carrier portals.'

  • Identify trends and perform root cause analysis on unpaid and underpaid claims
  • Research, appeal, and resolve claim rejections, underpayments, and denials with appropriate insurance payer
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clinical personnel, teammates, and insurance representatives
  • Works denials through payer portals and calling insurance reps
  • Attend team meetings - both fun meetings and monthly A/R meetings
  • SLAs (Temp Review/Metrics): 30/60/90 days... make sure they are understanding workflows, production goals, billing system, etc. 

    *At 90 days they are expected to be 'statusing' 3 claims/hour, and resolving 60 denied claims monthly.

    Hours:

    Flexible start - 6:45-8:30 start time - expectation is they work 8 hours daily. If they are converted to an FTE, they have the ability flex their hours, ie: 4-9 hour shifts and a 4-hour shift, 4 10-hour shifts, or 5 8-hours shifts.

    Parking:

    There are off-site parking lots that employees use. They will have to pay for this they plan on driving. Public transportation is an option a lot of FTEs use.

    Training:

    First two weeks is classroom based starting at 8:30am. Learning the basics, billing/EHR system, company policies, etc. This is followed by hands-on training.

    Training starts the first Tuesday of every month, but if an offer/acceptance happens candidates can start the Tuesday before classroom training begins to reduce risk of falloff.

    **Broken down based by payer... payer is TBD based on business need and candidate fulfillment. We won't know ahead of time. Important for expectation setting.**
