Associate Scientist Seattle, WA9-month contract Currently hiring an Associate Scientist for a therapeutics company in Seattle. The Associate Scientist will have the responsibility for qualifying highly impactful cell-based potency methods, including QC methods for lot release & stability testing as well as extended characterization methods that support process development and comparability assessments. Responsibilities:

  • The candidate can expect to qualify methods that evaluate the potency of vector (non-replicating lentivirus) or CAR T cellular therapeutics that are currently undergoing clinical trials.
  • Will be responsible for drafting qualification protocols, organizing samples and testing plans, performing qualification experiments, and drafting qualification reports.

Requirements:

  • Master s degree with 4+ years of experience or bachelor s degree with 7+ years of experience in the development, qualification, transfer, and validation of cell-based potency assays in an industry setting.
  • Expertise in cell culture, primary human cells, cryopreservation, cell-based assays, ELISAs, and/or similar technology platforms (e.g. MSD, Luminex, AlphaLISA, etc).
  • Experienced with authoring and revising test methods, forms, protocols, and reports. Familiar with ICH and USP guidelines on validating bioassays.
