Kelly Scientific Resources has a great opportunity as an Associate Scientist - Cellular Analytics working at a Therapeutics company in Seattle, WA.
Contract Duration - 6 Months
Typical Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Job Summary The Associate Scientist in the Cellular Analytics team will execute experiments to interrogate the phenotype and function of gene-modified T cell drug products from experimental and clinical manufacturing processes. This is a lab-focused role that will require experimental execution and data analysis. The Associate Scientist will generate data to support method development for release testing and characterization of gene-engineered T cells. Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • B.S. degree in immunology, cell biology or related field with > 5 years relevant experience.
  • Experience in human T cell biology and analytical tools for interrogating T cell phenotype and function.
  • Expertise in multi-parameter flow cytometry assay development and instrumentation (FACSCanto, Fortessa, Symphony, etc.)
  • Demonstrated independence in experimental design, data analysis, interpretation and presentation.
  • Proven ability to work in a high paced team environment, meet deadlines, & prioritize work on multiple projects.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a high paced team environment, meet deadlines, & prioritize work on multiple projects.
  • Previous experience with assay development preferred, but not required.

Specific duties

  • Independently design, develop and optimize 13+ color flow cytometry panels for in-depth characterization of gene-engineered T cells.
  • Plan and execute flow cytometry assay qualifications.
  • Author and draft SOPs, protocols, reports, training and transfer documents.
  • Coordinate and lead assay transfer activities to external groups.
  • Participate in and contribute scientific expertise to cross functional teams.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and collaborators.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively and work well in a highly matrixed team environment, with flexibility to navigate dynamic project goals.
