AWS Marketplace - Channel Account Specialist - Catalog Channel Program
AWS Marketplace helps customers find, buy, and immediately start using software and services that run on the AWS Cloud. Our job is to bring Amazon's e-commerce expertise to cloud software and fundamentally change how software is discovered and consumed in the cloud. We have a long list of new ideas just waiting to be designed and implemented.
AWS Marketplace is looking for an experienced Channel Account Specialist to onboard, incubate and support AWS consulting partners and increase their adoption of AWS Marketplace as a platform for software procurement. You will be a trusted advisor to our consulting partners and will enable software vendor discounts, craft go to market plans, provide operational training, and help consulting partners meet their AWS Marketplace goals. Engaging and aligning with cross functional organizations within AWS is important to the success of this role. As the business grows, you will help partners and the AWS sales organization establish customer wins on AWS Marketplace, deliver feedback from your partners to our engineering teams, transition incubated partners to the field, and identify and activate new partners. The ideal candidate is driven to succeed with a strong bias for action, while also being a collaborative team player.
Successful applicants will have a combination of business development, sales, and technical experience with ISVs and Consulting Partners, and a broad understanding of the software industry. You should have a track record of being a top-performing individual that is customer-centric, self-motivated, and have demonstrated experience in building and executing disruptive business models. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions. You should be articulate and be able to dive deep into your areas of expertise. This position has a high level of visibility, and you will need to be a strong leader, able to communicate clearly and compellingly both in your writing and through your presentation skills. We are a start-up within AWS so we will wear many hats, work fast and smart, and adapt and iterate quickly. We are looking for someone who is ready to roll-up their sleeves and join a tightly-knit team that is tackling an interesting and challenging opportunity.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent 2+ years of Amazon experience.
* 5+ years business development, sales experience.
* 5+ years experience with consulting and software vendor companies.
* Experience carrying a sales quota
