We have an opening for a Firmware Engineer to work with a consumer electronics development consultancy. This is a great chance to work on a variety of projects that can range in size or what the product is used for.

You will be responsible for architecture of firmware for embedded systems, implement user interfaces, and work on different levels of the software development stack from applications to drivers. Other responsibilities will be communicating with clients, other disciplines within the company, participate in project scoping and planning, product definition, and deliver high quality results on schedule and within budget.


  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or comparable skill
  • 5+ years professional experience working in bare metal and RTOS environments in C or C++ with embedded systems
  • Proven strong understanding of software design - technology, methods and approaches
  • Experience with relevant technologies, such as wireless technologies, ARM processor cores, hardware debug, small footprint software design, ultra-low power systems
  • Familiarity with consumer electronics design, development, engineering, and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to meet client deadlines in a fast pace environment
  • Experience bringing a product to market.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with embedded operating systems, such as Linux or Android
  • Experience working on OS drivers
  • Experience developing test and development tools for working with HW
  • Experience developing mobile apps on iOS or Android
